Why Buells only race Harleys
So... a customer of ours has this Triumph Speed Triple, see? A guy he
knows has a Buell S1 with all the Screamin Eagle parts and V&H
pieces and it sounds REAL FAST! After some words were exchanged our
customer agrees to race the Buell and just to make it interesting says
he can beat the Buell while riding a wheelie for the entire quarter
mile. Result? Buell 12.8, Triumph 12.4 and he never got past third gear.
Like we said, the Buell sounds fast.

This page has created some controversy. Predictably, the Triumph crowd
loves it, the Buell folks hate it.
This was not a set up or made up page, it actually happened. It
describes real events. Was this particular Buell representative of all
Buells? Were these riders representative of all riders? Hard to say,
though equal riders on these bikes would see the Triumph win, every
time. Is it a slam on Buells? It's more like a performance check. There
are heavily modified Buells that could probably do better but this
Triumph is basically stock. This Buell was already modified for
performance. Form your own conclusions.
